Summerfest

The Dresden Recreation Committee is proud to announce that Frank Ferrell, one of
America's leading fiddler, will highlight activities at this years Annual SUMMERFEST.
Mr. Ferrell has been called by the Boston Globe's music critic, "One of the finest
living masters of the fiddle." Mr. Ferrell has appeared on Prairie Home Companion,
and his major label CD release, Yankee Dreams, was selected by The Library of
Congress in their Select List of 25 Recordings of American Folk Music. He will be
accompanied by Doug Protsik, who is with the band Old Grey Goose.
This year's SUMMERFEST is on July 12 at the Pownalborough Court House. Come and enjoy
all the activities including games for kids and adults: goats, llamas and other furry
creatures; Gary Getchell's comedy routine; Sue Mack on the bagpipe; hikes on the trails;
bus tours of Dresden; "Little Gene" the Clown; and much, much more! Events start at
11:00 and go until 5:00.
